The past few days have truly been overwhelming. Between juggling two jobs, preparing crochet stocks, and then the earthquake last September 30, I found myself shaken and unable to continue crocheting. The aftershocks left me uneasy and even caused vertigo, and I just couldn’t focus.
Watching the news and seeing the victims cry for help broke my heart. It humbled me and reminded me to slow down, to pray harder, and to feel with them. It also brought back the pain I experienced during Odette. Crying, waiting for help, and holding on to faith. I know it may not be the same as what the victims are going through now, but I understand their fear and pain.
Because of this, I decided to use the income from my little shop “Hooked” to help. With your support and the help of my family, we were able to donate 816 bottled waters to the earthquake victims. This was not just from me,it was from YOU, the people who supported and believed in my small business.
I don’t usually post about donations and giving, but this is my way of saying thank you. Every crochet piece you’ve purchased became part of this small act of love. It may not be much, but I believe that even the little things can go a long way.
Maybe God gave me this gift and skill for a purpose,to give back what I could through this craft. I thank Him for allowing me to create, share, and use this talent to help others. I continue to pray for strength, to not grow tired, and to keep moving forward as we prepare for something exciting this October.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. May God bless you and may your blessings never run dry. Still, my prayers remain with all the earthquake victims. 💙
