Ismail said the assistance will be released under the program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), to help drivers cope with rising fuel prices, which have been attributed largely to tensions in the Middle East.

He added that a simultaneous payout is scheduled on April 10–11, 2026, across Albay province, including the cities of Tabaco and Ligao.

SEDP MPC to showcase women-led products in ‘Mercado nin Bicolano’

The SEDP MPC is set to host the “Mercado nin Bicolano” on March 25-26, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Cathedral in Legazpi City.

In a Facebook post, the SEDP MPC shared that the event, with the theme ‘Bringing the best of Bicol into one place,’ aims to promote locally made products, expand the reach of Bicolano businesses, and support local entrepreneurs and artisans.

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the market will highlight women-led businesses, featuring a wide variety of products from the Nanays in Simbag.

The public is invited to visit and support local Bicolano creativity and craftsmanship at this two-day marketplace.
