MY EARLY MORNING LESSON
TOPIC: NEVER FORGET TO PRAY; PRAYER IS OUR ONLY LIFELINE...
Never forget to pray, because prayer is not an option; it is oxygen for the soul. The day a man stops praying is not the day he becomes weak; it is the day he becomes disconnected. Prayer is the cord that ties the fragile earth of our humanity to the unshakable heaven of God’s power. Cut that cord, and no matter how intelligent, gifted, educated, or influential you are, you begin to suffocate silently. Scripture reminds us: “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). See, life does not always announce when it is about to strike. Temptations do not send appointment letters. Battles do not wait for you to be ready. Only a praying man or woman is ever truly prepared. We live in a strange and wounded world, a world where your joy gives some people problems, and your problems give them joy. When you are rising, they call you proud. When you are struggling, they call it justice. When God blesses you, they question your source. When God prunes you, they celebrate your pain. That is the world we live in. And if you are not deeply rooted in God, the noise of human opinions will uproot your peace. Prayer does not mean life will be easy; it means life will be survivable. Prayer does not exempt you from storms; it anchors you in them. Jesus prayed, and yet He was betrayed. He prayed, and yet He carried the cross. But because He prayed, betrayal did not poison Him, and the cross did not break Him. Prayer will not always change your situation immediately, but it will always change you sufficiently to face it.
People are too inconsistent to be your foundation. The same mouths that praise you today can condemn you tomorrow. Stay grounded in God, not in people’s opinions. Opinions are like weather, they change without notice. God is constant. Prayer grounds you, keeps you sane in a mad world, humbles you when success comes and strengthens you when failure knocks. Prayer teaches you silence when words would destroy you and patience when reaction would ruin you. A praying person may bend, but will never break. In a world where people secretly monitor your downfall and exaggerate your mistakes, prayer becomes your refuge. It is the place where you are not judged, misunderstood, or misquoted. It is the place where God hears not only your words, but your sighs, your tears, and your unspoken fears. Never forget to pray, because prayer is how you survive envy, withstand betrayal, and outgrow bitterness. Prayer is how you keep your heart clean in a dirty world. Prayer is how you remain focused when distractions multiply. Prayer is how you remember who you are when people try to redefine you. Stay grounded in God. Kneel before Him, so you don’t bow before pressure. Listen to His voice, so you are not confused by the crowd. Trust His timing, so you are not rushed by comparison. In the end, those who mocked your prayers will wonder how you survived what should have destroyed you.
Never forget to pray, because prayer is your lifeline. And anyone who stays connected to God can never be truly defeated.
