This oil painting should be an entry for the Sining Filipina Painting Competition but I failed to meet the deadline. (Too tired from commuting everyday)

The theme was women empowerment and after a lot of brain storming and avoiding typical women paintings, I came up to paint what women almost do everyday. Not actually my style and I am not really satisfied with this but not bad for a first time to paint portraits in oils. And I am proud how I got to make an original painting from my mind to sketch to canvas.

i am blessed to have this vacant period (again) bcos i get the time to finally get back to do art. Its been months since i picked up a brush to paint or to design something because of the demands of life. It feels like going back home, to where i am supposed to be. So here I am again in an ever ending euphoric feeling of being overwhelm of all the art I could do. Starting with this goauche warm ups. I am blessed that I have this gift in the midst of all the reality I have to deal. That as a creative, there is always an understanding that in every suffering, a masterpiece is waiting. ✨️🤍
