The bird on the painting is the Visayan Wrinkled Billed Hornbill (Rhabdotorrhinus waldeni), locally called Dulungan. It is one of the critically endangered species in the Philippines, specifically here in Panay. Its sightings remained at 18 as recorded on 2018.
