The Story of Handmade by Little Belle
Handmade by Little Belle began with a love for creativity, family, and the simple joy of making things by hand. The name Little Belle was inspired by my youngest and only daughter, Yssabelle, and also by my favorite Disney character, Tinker Bell, a tiny fairy known for her love of tinkering and creating something new—much like the spirit behind my craft.
My journey with crochet started when I was still in elementary school. I became fascinated with yarn and the endless possibilities it could turn into with just a hook and a bit of imagination. Over the years, I enjoyed making small crocheted accessories such as earrings, hair clips, headbands, and other delicate pieces.
When my daughter Yssabelle was born in 2017, my passion for crochet grew even deeper. I picked up my crochet hook again and began creating handmade wearables especially for her. She became my very first model, proudly wearing the tiny pieces I lovingly made.
As my skills developed, I explored more detailed techniques and eventually ventured into microcrocheting, a delicate art of creating miniature crocheted designs using very fine thread and small hooks. This allowed me to craft intricate accessories that highlight patience, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Today, Handmade by Little Belle continues to celebrate handmade artistry—each piece inspired by love, creativity, and the little moments that started it all.
