💗 I find it quite hard to actually understand and imagine how Jesus suffered for us. It's very difficult for me, but I know that I can only undertand that if I read his word daily, cause only by that would I truly have knowledge of God and the purpose he has given me.

But throughout the whole Bible, it revolves around the idea of how humans fell short of Gods love because we sinned and we are all sinful by heart, and God being a perfect being holy and just he cannot be in contact with sin because sin is against his nature, and it causes a separation between him and humanity (had to search it up on google (^.^) ).

Now with all that being said, Jesus Christ, the son of God had to pay the punishment of those sin so we can have a personal and close relationship with God. The punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Because of his sacrifice and grace we now have access to a relationship with him and to eternal life.

With that being said, this verse reminds us that we should live a life that reflects God's nature, because Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example that we should follow in his steps.

💗 When God made us, he gave us free will to do whatever if we want. However, we often use that freedom to sin and live the life that turns us away from him. We disobey him. An example of humans using the free will God gave them to be use to commit sin is seen in the story of Adam and Eve. God gave them everything to live freely but God gave them one commandment and that is to not eat of the fruit of one tree in the garden. Given the freedom to choose what they want to do....they ate it. That was the sin that made humanity fall, we are now all sinful by heart because of one man's disobedience.

Looking at that example, we could clearly see that willful disobedience against the word of God could cause us so much—it would lead to our death/separation from God/hell. In this verse, it tell us to live as free people, but we should never use that freedom that God gave us as a cover-up for evil or to sin willingly, but, we should live as God's slaves. That doesn't mean like living as actual slaves like getting beat up by non-believers, it means that God is now our Lord, we are now a slave to righteousness not to sin. We use the gift of free will to serve others for God and his kingdom, not for our sinful desires.

💗 I know that a lot of us struggle with this. But each day we should focus on God and ask him to help us get rid of every sinful thing that we experience, from malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.
