Launching More Than a Product: ASP Art Mats Brings Artists Together

On July 18, 2026, artists from different backgrounds will gather at 1159 Creative Space Gallery in Makati City for the ASP Art Mats Unboxing Day. At first glance, it looks like a product launch. Spend a few minutes talking to the people behind it, though, and it quickly becomes clear that this event is really about building a creative community.

"We didn't want to simply put a product on a shelf and call it a launch," the organizers shared. "We wanted artists to experience it, paint with it, and enjoy the process together."

That idea runs through every part of the event. Visitors can join the ASP A4 InstaArt Exhibit, contribute to the Doodle Boodle Collaboration, watch the Strokes & Beats Live Painting, or test their skills in the ArtDagulan Art Battle. Those who simply want to create can bring their own materials or start something new on-site.

The launch also introduces ASP Art Mats, a line of artist-grade materials developed with one simple philosophy: created by artists, priced for artists. For many Filipino creatives, quality supplies can be expensive. The team hopes these products make it easier for artists to keep creating without stretching their budgets.

"Art shouldn't feel out of reach because of the cost of materials," they explained. "If we can help even one artist continue creating, then we've done something worthwhile."

More than anything, the organizers hope visitors leave inspired. They want people to meet fellow artists, exchange ideas, and remember that creativity grows stronger when it's shared.

As the doors open on July 18, ASP Art Mats isn't just introducing a new product—it's welcoming artists into a community that celebrates imagination, collaboration, and the simple joy of making art together.
