Hello 👋 🆕 makihabi dates para sa April at May! Lahat ay beginner-friendly, 3-hour intro session sa iba’t-ibang technique sa paghahabi. May nagbago lang—kinailangan kong mag-adjust sa presyo para maka-keep up sa mga tumataaa na bilihin, pero sana ay affordable pa rin ito 💗

Book a private Heddle Loom Weaving class this summer! This is open to beginners of all ages, 6 y/o and up. Learn how to weave on a mini loom that introduces you to the traditional pedal loom weaving techniques. Depends on your pacing, you can finish a longer fabric with 4 different techniques which you can turn into a wall hanging, a table runner, or even a fun scarf!

Makihabi at makiisa sa 42nd People’s Cordillera Day Manila Leg sa April 18 na may temang “Assert our right to land, life, and Livelihood” na gaganapin sa📍 QC Circle! Featured sa workshop na ito ang Kusikos pattern na tradisyunal na hinahabi sa Abra at iba pang lugar sa norte.

Gagamit tayo ng beginner’s technique na block weaving, kung saan sa isang tile mismo ginagawa ang weaving at pwede itong matapos bilang isang art piece o pwede ring coaster.

💔 Walang tunay na pag-ibig every Feb 14 kung taunan pa ring may Rice Liberalization Law. !

Pwedeng gumamit ng coconut o pandan leaves kung merong mahahanap, pero para sa tutorial ay gumamit ako ng isang rolyo ng felt paper. Tatlong piraso lang ang kailangan na may sukat na 1” lapad at ~28” haba. Pero hindi lang sya pwedeng maluto 😬

Kung interesadong makuha ang step-by-the-step sa paghahabi (pati pagluto) ng Pusô o hanging rice, available ang printable docs + video guide pack, Pay-what-you-can sa SAKA, mag-dm lang lang po sa akin 💌 . Binubukas ko rin pong libre itong magamit ng mga orgs at advocates sa mga workshops + talakayan patungkol sa food security.

Tunay na reporma sa lupa at pambansang industriyalisasyon, ipaglaban ngayong Valentimes ❤️‍🔥

makihabi iz back! Bagong intermediate workshop on overshot, a supplementary weft technique na pwedeng makagawa ng shape & design with plain weave, like this valentimes heart!

Back-to-back ito with beginners’ Plain Weave & Twills sa umaga so if bago lang kayo sa weaving, I encourage signing up sa morning session kung gusto niyong makasali sa afternoon intermediate class 🧚

So excited to join Re-store on Jan 25! Posting some backlogs from previous Heddle loom weaving private classes 💗 I think after about 3 years of teaching on this heddle loom, happy to share that I’m able to squeeze 3 techniques in 3 hours! (lol 3 mentions of 3)
