On April 25, 2020, still reeling from all the confusions that the covid has brought, I found myself investigating our electric meter to see how much it was supplying power to our house at that particular time(it was 8:10am). I decided to record to share what I saw. Our solar panel sets(2 sets of 300w) as early as 8am, is powering our house(at this time appliances running were: ref, 2 electric fans, 1 desktop were open). The meter was spinning counterclockwise!
Moving to the other building where the Tri-Silver Builder's office also invested in solar power(3 sets), the meter was also spinning backwards. The 3 panels at this time in the morning, are still hidden from the sun(meaning it's located facing west), yet It is receiving enough power already. Though the office is closed due to the Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) being implemented, the company reported 35%-40% savings since the installation of the energy solution over a year ago.
It helps too that both our roofs are white(light color) for reflectance of UV rays are high resulting to less heat being transferred inside the buildings. We adopted the cool roof system.

Tri-Silver Builders adopted solar energy in May of 2019. Installed 3 units of 300w

The ave monthly consumption dropped by 13.5%(comparing data of 2018 as shown in the graph provided by Meralco bill) despite the addition of another a/c as they expanded their office building (they were using only 2 a/c prior to solar energy solution). In effect, with the addition of the cooling system, they're easily enjoying a 30% clean energy from the sun.

The harvest coming from the sun's energy that the company is enjoying is 71KW per month.
It helps that the roofing is white that aid in deflecting the sun's rays

This month(Feb), their energy bill is down to 251KWH(Php2,366.36) from 340 KWH of the same month last year despite now 3 a/c, 8 hours a day, 6 days/week.
the previous month, January, it registered 277KWH(Php2,766.87) vs. 300KWH Jan.2019.

TSB(Tri-Silver Builders), itself a company that promotes sustainable solutions by becoming the exclusive installer of a high-reflective roofing system(Duro-Last), has just cemented this by contracting Asianess Inc. to install renewable solutions (3 sets of LG Mini-Solar energy system), allowing the harvesting of energy from the sun, to reduce its dependence on commercial energy(mostly produced by coal)
