New leather is always exciting but first things first!

Inspection and Cleaning:
A must do when ordering leather or even buying a hide yourself, this will help you get a better picture of your leather yield.

You always have to keep a few questions in mind!
How many pieces of a certain product can you make?
How many different kinds of projects?
How much of the material do you need to avoid so you don't include scratches scars or imperfections?

It's especially important when working with full grain and top grain leather! Not everyone has the same preference or tolerance for natural marks and scar, so it's good to keep an eye out for these and plan ahead.
