Your KYŌMEIs are coming home to you soon. 🤎

Handmade and hand-carved in our little studio on the island, each piece brings together RAI Matcha’s love for tea and Palawan Pottery’s love for clay.

Thank you for being part of this limited collaboration. We hope these KYŌMEIs bring joy to your everyday rituals. ✨

RAI Matcha will be coordinating directly with each of you. Please keep an eye out for their messages!

Made little by little over the past months, now, it’s finally ready to bloom. ❀

Introducing Fowliei, a collection of handmade sculptural katakuchis inspired by Paphiopedilum fowliei, a critically endangered lady slipper orchid found only in Palawan.

Drawing from the flower’s distinct shades of pink and green, each vessel is finished with a hand-sculpted and hand-painted orchid—no two quite ever alike.

Very limited pieces only.
Blooming August 19, 6PM.

Message us on the release date and time to see the full collection. See you soon. ✨

Some of the best things about a place are made by the people who call it home.

And spaces become all the more meaningful when they hold the stories of its people, art, and community.

May there always be room for local stories to be shared. ♡

Literature, made to be held. ✍️

Sharing some handpainted ceramics from the 19th Palihang Rogelio Sicat held in Puerto Princesa City.

This year, PRS 19 introduced Sanib-Sining, a collaboration between literary and visual art where fifteen writing fellows translated their poems and reflections into hand-painted ceramics.

It was an honor to guide this workshop and witness your words find a lasting home in clay. Thank you to all the fellows for trusting us with your stories. 🤍

Our students' first wheel-thrown and handbuilt pieces ✨

First bowls on the potter's wheel. First mugs shaped by hand. First time touching clay. Every piece tells the story of someone who opened themselves to trying something new.

Thank you for sharing the joy of clay at Palawan Pottery. Until next time! 🍃
