Because of your continuous love and support, we were blessed to become one of the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 in the 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 Cake Competition, held during the World Food Expo (WOFEX) at SMX Convention Center.
Two weeks ago, we received a message from the Bakersfield team informing us that our entry made it to the Top 10. As a start-up home bakery that learned most of our skills through free online tutorials, this felt surreal. Being in the same competition with experienced cake artists, chefs, and competitors from different cake festivals is already an honor we never imagined.
For us, this has never been just about winning. The experience itself is already a victory. 🥹🤍
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨, 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 🇵🇭
Our cake is inspired by the 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞, using only the colors of the Philippine flag. We may not have created the most intricate cake in the room, but we wanted to showcase something that truly represents the Filipino heart.
Christmas is more than a celebration on December 25. It's the sparkling lights outside our homes, the parol hanging by our windows, the excitement of exchanging gifts, and most importantly, the warmth of celebrating with our families. It is one of the traditions that every Filipino looks forward to every year, and that's the story we wanted our cake to tell. ❤️
