I still remember my first plant shop trip with my mom and ticking plants off my ‘to-buy’ list. I shrieked every now and then because the staff would come in with a truck full of new plants for us crazy buyers. When we were checking out, mama asked for freebie plants because we bought so many, it almost didn’t fit our little sedan.

This cobra fern was one of those freebies. I didn’t like it, I had no idea how to take care of it, but my mom, an expert plantita, convinced me that it was one of the best freebies we got.

Well, my mama knows best indeed.

I really used to just ignore my mom’s collection. I am gasping and regretting my childhood decisions now knowing what she had…and what I used as fake garnish for lutu-lutuan😅🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m sorry plants, I’m sorry! I had dolls to feed!
