Yes, it’s Monday—it’s painting day! 🎨

Today, I’m taking a break from commission work, so I like to call it my Freedom Painting Day. While waiting for inspiration to strike, one of my favorite routines is enjoying breakfast in front of a blank canvas, letting ideas slowly come to life.

There’s something truly special about painting whatever my heart desires. It brings a sense of joy, creativity, and freedom. At the same time, I deeply appreciate commission work—it’s a privilege to collaborate with clients, bring their visions to life, and continue growing as an artist.

Whether I’m creating for myself or for others, I’m grateful for this craft that not only fuels my passion but also puts food on our table. Every painting is a reminder of how blessed I am to do what I love.

This piece was actually a failed commission at first because it wasn’t the exact painting the client originally requested. It was meant to be an abstract sunset, but I wasn’t able to fully meet their expectations.
As an artist, there are times when I also struggle to bring a client’s vision to life exactly as imagined. But I’m truly grateful for clients who understand and appreciate my strengths as an artist.
Thankfully, we were able to find a concept that worked better with my artistic strengths, and I’m so happy that the final result brought happiness to my client.
