"To be honest, I took a bit longer to complete my degree. My journey was a bit longer than expected, and I wasn't exactly a top student. This degree was really challenging for me. After putting in a lot of hard work, struggling through sleepless nights and stressful days, and facing criticism from people close to me – who said I couldn't do it, it wasn't my kind of work – Why did I choose this degree? Why not something easier? Why not just get married and settle down? Your degree is not finished yet.And they also said that "You've put your parents through so much stress and wasted their money as well as time."
I often wondered if it was all worth it?
It's easy for others to say these things, but only I know what I went through. When I needed encouragement the most, the people closest to me were the ones discouraging me. My parents heard different things... Everyone sees the success, but no one knows what it took to get there. That's a harsh reality. Thank you to those people who either tried so hard to weaken my trust or made me so angry that today I can finally convey to them that you are the one who did the emotional damage to me. But Alhamdulillah I'm one of the strong daughter of my parents ,those parents whom I've seen struggling and working hard their entire lives just to provide me and my siblings a better future.
But during the tough times, my family's persistence and some amazing teachers' counseling helped me push through. In the end, I made it! I'm grateful to my parents for their patience, my husband for waiting so long and supporting me, and my teachers for believing in me and helping me along the way."
