Not just a staircase, but a choreography of material, light, and time.
When this house was completely reimagined, the original structure was stripped back to its shell. Every surface was reconsidered, every material renewed. Yet this staircase , part of the home’s original character was one element I couldn’t let go of.
It became the bridge between old and new. A quiet reminder of the house’s classical roots, retained intentionally and placed at the heart of an otherwise modern, minimal, clean-lined transformation. New marble, new finishes, new proportions - all designed to sit in dialogue with what already existed.
Rather than erasing the past, the design allows it to anchor the present.
