A white sofa and quiet walls need one thing in the room that carries the colour. This is that rug.
It is a Mamluk Chobi from our silk wash collection, hand-knotted, 11’ 10” x 8’ 9” (361 x 267 cm). Chobi is a hand-knotted rug style from Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mamluk is a geometric pattern style named after the medieval Egyptian dynasty.
It is overdyed, which means the rug is dyed a second time so the traditional pattern stays visible under one strong colour.
For a transitional room, one that mixes classic and modern pieces, it does three jobs. It gives a pale room its colour. It ties modern furniture to a traditional pattern. And at 361 x 267 cm, it is sized for a full seating area, with the sofa and coffee table sitting on it.
One of one. When it is sold, it is gone.
