Exploring waste as a resource.

We recently had the opportunity to conduct a workshop and lecture on our ongoing material research at Sifr. Design Studio, where we shared our experimentation with eggshells and seaweed extract as the foundation for developing sustainable material alternatives.

Through a series of research-based experiments, we combined these natural materials with different binders to study their physical properties, strength, texture, and potential applications in product design and interior architecture.

For us, material innovation begins with curiosity. By questioning conventional materials and exploring biodegradable alternatives, we hope to contribute to a more sustainable and thoughtful approach to design.

Thank you to everyone who joined the session, asked insightful questions, and engaged with the process. We look forward to continuing this research and sharing where it leads. Thankyou Huzefah Haroon for inviting us to introduce our work to the students.
