Participants explore material selection, tesserae preparation and cutting, layout planning, opus patterns, andamento, and direct-adhesion methods, plus surface prep, grouting, and finishing. Working with ceramic tiles and traditional tools, the workshop builds precision, rhythm, and visual structure—translating an ancient craft into confident, present-day compositions.
