"What's your per-square-foot rate?"
As an architect with 5 years in the industry, this is one of the most common questions I get. There's a persistent misconception that architects are like contractors or builders, providing a single "turnkey" price for a project. We architects don't have per sq. ft. packages like contractors or builders.
Let's clear the air.
Architects are NOT Contractors or Builders.
It's a mistake to confuse the designer with the builder. Thinking of a building project in this way is like thinking the composer and the conductor of an orchestra are the same person.
The architect is the composer and conductor. Our fees are for the creative and technical genius-the detailed design, the planning, and the crucial supervision during construction to ensure every detail is executed correctly.
The contractor is the orchestra. Their per-square-foot rate covers the performance-the physical labor, materials, and management of the build itself.
My job is to be your partner in the creative process and your advocate during the build, ensuring every detail of our design is brought to life with precision. Understanding this distinction is the first step toward a successful and collaborative building project.

بطور ایک معمار جسے پانچ سال کا تجربہ ہے، میں یہ بات واضح کرنا چاہتا ہوں کہ معمار ٹھیکیدار یا بلڈر نہیں ہوتے۔ یہ ایک عام غلط فہمی ہے کہ جیسے ٹھیکیدار ایک "ٹرن کی" قیمت دیتے ہیں، ویسے ہی معمار بھی فی مربع فٹ کی بنیاد پر اپنی خدمات دیتے ہیں۔ ایسا بالکل نہیں ہے۔

معمار ٹھیکیدار یا بلڈر نہیں ہوتے۔
ڈیزائنر کو بلڈر کے ساتھ ملانا ایسے ہی ہے جیسے موسیقی کے کمپوزر اور کنڈکٹر کو ایک ہی شخص سمجھ لینا۔
