🌳 The 3–30–300 Rule:
Did you know there’s a clear, science-based guideline for what good access to nature should look like in our cities?
A Simple Formula for Greener, Healthier Cities
👉The 3–30–300 rule,
sets three powerful goals:
🌿 3 – Everyone should be able to see at least three trees from their home
🌳 30 – Every neighbourhood should have at least 30% tree canopy cover
🏞 300 – Everyone should live within 300 metres of a quality public green space
These simple benchmarks help create healthier, greener, and more resilient cities — where trees and nature are part of everyday life
As we continue promoting Tree Plantation and Urban Food Gardens in our communities, this rule reminds us: access to greenery is not optional — it’s essential. 🌍💚
Let’s work together to make our cities more livable for people and the planet.
