The JazzWorld Headquarter in Islamabad is among the first corporate headquarters in Pakistan's telecommunications and digital services sector to earn LEED® Gold, and we could not be prouder to have helped make it happen.
For many "green building" and "LEED Gold certification" can sound abstract. LEED is the world's most widely used green building rating system. To earn it, a building design & construction processes are verified against strict standards for energy, water, materials, air quality, and the wellbeing of the people inside.
In everyday terms, here is what that means for this building. It uses about a third less energy than a typical building of its size, with noticeably lower carbon emissions, a real step toward decarbonization. Efficient fixtures cut its water use by around half, and the gardens are planted to thrive without any permanent watering. Lighting is fully LED throughout, much of the parking has given way to a people-first layout with charging for electric vehicles, and most of the waste created during construction was reused or recycled instead of going to landfill. The people who work there enjoy cleaner air, more natural light, and a more comfortable space, every single day.
In a market where energy and water are precious, performance like this is good for the planet and for the people and budget who keep the building running day to day.
We believe buildings like this show what is possible right here in Pakistan: spaces that are better for the people inside them and gentler on the world around them.
