Looking to spend the winter in Krakow? We are renting out our apartment in Salwator for 3 months (January, February and March 2024). Located in a delightful town house on the road to the Kopiec Kosciuszki, the 2-bedroom apartment is 80m2, comprises a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (bath and shower), additional single bedroom upstairs, small separate toilet, and a large kitchen/lounge. As you will see from the photos, the kitchen is professionally-equipped and a great feature if you are a keen cook!
The apartment is fully furnished and in a peaceful location with easy access to the city, but also great walks nearby. It has windows on both sides of the building as well as in the roof so has a light and cheerful atmosphere.
The price is 3800 PLN plus gas and electricity (approximately 450 PLN per month depending on use) = 4250 per month estimated. Water and high-speed fibre internet are included in the rental cost.

Good day Doughnut Lovers 🙂 It seems like still a while to go to doughnut time, but its only about 3 weeks! This year, Fat Thursday falls on February 16th, which means that we're frying on the 15th! In recent years in February, if it was not covid that broke out and lockdown, then last year on the 24th in the morning, unfortunately, it was the tragic war in Ukraine. This is also the reason that last year we did not really talk about or praise the success of the previous Doughnate campaign - because there were other priorities as we all know. But now is a good time to reflect on what we all accomplished together.

First of all, I would like to thank you once again for your help. Without you, nothing would be possible. I was going through the photos from the last action today and I was so moved, so many great people gathered at the Children's Home at Parkowa Street. We sold all 2,000 doughnuts and fried over 2,300 :) They all went to good hands in the morning, there was nothing left and the children bravely helped us to hand out the boxes until noon. Because of covid, we hadn't managed to spend the money from the previous year, so in total we had PLN 20,000 raised towards the garden at ul. Kapielowa, where the Children's Home recently opened another youth facility (you can imagine how many arrived from Ukraine already). There we discovered a dusty, bare piece of ground, notorious for flooding during downpours. In the middle was a tin and a few scattered bricks. With the help of the teachers, and your donations, we managed to start up a proper garden! We separated the garden from the busy road, with a newly planted beech hedge, we built boxes for herbs and vegetables, we installed a large pergola by a sad-looking wall and planted it with vines. We planted new trees and shrubs. At the end, after a discount, we managed to buy a wooden gazebo, which the pupils wanted. We have also purchased bins/shed for the rubbish. Fantastic topsoil was delivered for free by Zieleń Miejska. All because one February night you were frying doughnuts instead of sleeping, or buying them and eating them. Thank you!

Dear Friends !
This weekend we're doing something special in Krakow - artistic workshops for those who want to learn how to make beautiful Easter paper chandeliers - traditional decorations that have a long history in this part of the world. The workshops are free, so you only need to register online https://kbfbilety.krakow.pl It would be great if you can invite your Ukrainian friends and help them find a moment of peace and positivity. Mothers with teenage children are particularly welcome. The workshops take place on Saturday and Sunday, from 10.30 to 14.30, at KBF's cultural institute at Pałac Potocki on the Market Square (Rynek Główny 20). There are enough places for 25 people on each day, and the workshop is suitable for children over 10. A simple lunch will be provided, along with hot drinks, but if you'd like to bring something along to share, you are very welcome.

Last picnic of the summer at Marcy... this Sunday (22nd August). We are starting from 1pm. Kick back in the countryside and enjoy some fantastic food. Hola friends! what are your plans for the hottest Sunday of the summer? If you don't have one, how about joining Marcy Picnic Feast with Marta in Marcyporęba? We are starting from midday (12pm) and you are more than welcome. Plenty of fresh food - everything from Focaccia with porcini to Persian Aubergine... lots of fresh salads, and home-cooked cheesecake and meringue!
