Ze względu na duże zainteresowanie daję znać, że shiboridashi w ryżowym kolorze możecie zamówić bezpośrednio na naszej stronie internetowej. Na wysyłkę zwykle poczekać trzeba około trzech tygodni. Sprzedajemy je zwykle w formie preorderu, abyście mieli pewność, że przy następnym dropie będzie na Was czekać egzemplarz.

talerzyki z malowanymi królikami wróciły na nasze półki

używacie ich w kuchni, na szafce nocnej pod biżuterię czy przy kubku z herbatą. wszystkie chwyty dozwolone, ja się bardzo cieszę, że mogą Wam towarzyszyć.

Są dostępne w sklepie online, jak zwykle w ograniczonej ilości, bo każdy z nich malowany był odręcznie. A jak się skończą to też pewnie wrócą, bo bardzo je lubię :)

Suminagashi; shots from the process.

Sumi ink on rice paper

I just finished working on big and demanding project. Kiln filled and turned on. It felt like I could finally take a deeper breath.

In moments like these I turn to suminagashi. It means “ink on water”, and it’s basically that. It is a very intuitive graphic technique, it takes a steady hand and a calm breath. You can’t make suminagashi in a hurry.

Maybe that’s why I keep coming back to it. It reminds me that not everything needs to be controlled. Sometimes it’s enough to slow down, watch the patterns unfold, and follow where the water leads.

Current state of things in the studio:
1. Shop update will be all about teaware
2. I’m restocking rabbit mugs!
3. This past month we’ve been in full production mode working on commissions. We are making some really cool pots, can’t wait to share with you effects of this work!
4. Peony season is on and we’re here for it.
5. Added new product to porfolio - ceramic cha ze, tea spoon made with glorious chocolate brown clay and ash glaze. It will be included in the next shop update
6. We found some wild clay that keeps shape at cone 7, I will be using it in more experimental work

Closer look at gaiwans from the latest batch. These teapots are wheel-thrown very thin, precise, and sharp. Made from various stoneware clays, each one is glazed and decorated differently. Sizes range from 70 to 150 ml.
