Genialny w swej prostocie pomysł na wykorzystanie wody, która spadła z nieba.
Zanim spuścimy ją do ścieków!

Curb-Cut Rain Basins — turning streets into water systems 🌧️🌳

Instead of sending rainwater directly into storm drains, curb-cut rain basins redirect street runoff toward planted areas where trees and vegetation can naturally absorb it.

A simple cut in the curb becomes part of a larger urban strategy—reducing flooding, filtering pollutants, recharging groundwater, and watering trees for free using rainwater that would otherwise be wasted.

These systems transform sidewalks and streets into active ecological infrastructure, where landscape and urban design work together to improve environmental performance and public space at the same time.

Small interventions like this show how sustainable cities aren’t always built through massive projects… sometimes they begin with smarter details at street level.

💬 Should more cities replace traditional drainage systems with nature-based solutions like these?

Przestrzenie wspólne w osiedlach mieszkaniowych.
Prawdziwa potrzeba, świetne możliwości sąsiedzkich interakcji czy wymysły architektów?
Co sądzicie?
