The Nissan family belong to a community known as “Assyrian”, who still use the Aramaic Language, the ancient language that was spoken by our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, also the same language spoken by the Prophets Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the same language used in the Liturgy of Jacob, the brother Of God. The Nissan family story is traced back to the late 19th Century, when the family emi

grated from Turkey to Bethlehem, the Holy Land to start a new life. After so many years of hard work, the two brothers George and Afram managed to set foot in the Tourism Industry and in 1972 they were able to obtain a license from the Ministry of Tourism allowing them to establish the Company “Bethlehem New Store- Nissan Brothers”, enabling them to sell religious articles and souvenirs to tourists who were growing in numbers. At present, the Nissan family have expanded and are now owners of several of the largest Touristic facilities in the area, which include two Retail shops selling Olive Wood, Jewelry, Paintings, Antiquities and Souvenirs in Bethlehem and Jerusalem. An Olive Wood factory “Nissan Olive Wood Factory”, where exclusive crafts are made, and finally, a 5-Star Oriental and International Restaurant known as “Nissan Restaurant”. They have earned such a staggering reputation in the Tourism Industry and are continuously growing and exceeding expectations.
