Butterfly kisses & flower petal wishes cake for a little butterfly celebrating her 4th birthday. 4 layers of moist vanilla cake, separated with pale pink strawberry buttercream, decorated in teal coloured vanilla buttercream and fondant caterpillars, butterflies, flowers and leaves. How cute are the 4 butterfly candles!

Spring has started here in Portugal and I am absolutely inspired by the beautiful blossoms and crisp new green leaves. Sweet floral scents linger in the air and the splashes of colour make the avenues and parks look so pretty. There is something magical about springtime, maybe the warmth of the air, perhaps the beauty of nature, whatever the reason it brings happiness and lifts the spirit. Sheer Layering. This complex stationery was created by layering sheer patterned paper on card and creating further layers through folding and ribbon elements. The invitation is printed on beautiful lustre paper with brush strokes of soft silver. Tones of grey, pink and green is elegantly matched.
