Sustainable Lighting from Portugal Boah Nova is a creative and productive hub located in Leça da Palmeira, in the North of Portugal.

Boah Nova brings together the flair of new designers in a workplace where creativity and experimentation reign free. What binds different people together at Boah Nova is a love for design and an ever-ending pursuit of beauty in new product development. Our lamp shades are truly original, unique and sustainable. At Boah Nova, products are carefully developed with the time they deserve, inspired by

the local light and the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean. Each product is authored by one of the partner designers. The production is then made in-house and in collaboration with local producers, combining their expertise and handmade skills with digital production tools. Sustainability guides everything that is done at Boah Nova, and it means to: (1) use ecological and recyclable materials that are already on the market; (2) employ simple and widely available electric components that can be easily sourced and repaired; (3) follow ethical principles such as a respect for the environment and a fair payment to all involved in the business activities; (4) create timeless designs that endure over time.
