POV: When you can’t take your frustration out on your husband… so the Pasande gets it instead 😂🔨

My husband heard all the banging in the kitchen and came to investigate what was happening.

His mistake? Asking me what all the noise was about. 😭😂

Because Pasande starts with one important step: flattening the meat!

And there is an interesting reason behind the name too. 👀

Pasand means favourite or preferred, and traditionally Pasande was made using thin slices from prized cuts of meat. The meat is flattened and marinated so it becomes tender and absorbs all those beautiful flavours.

The result is usually a rich, aromatic Mughlai-style dish with tender meat and a creamy, mildly spiced gravy. 🤤

Everything was going perfectly…

Until I forgot to switch off the flame on time. 🥲🔥

Let’s just say my Pasande got a little too much dum at the end. 😂

Have you ever made an entire dish perfectly and ruined it in the last few minutes? 😭👇

After TWO months of “Amma!” and chaotic mornings… this was the first thing we did after the school drop-off. 😂

A victorious drop-off deserves a proper celebration, right?

So we skipped the cooking and went straight for a Yemeni breakfast: flaky, warm Malawah, cheesy Lahsa, tender Meat Muqalqal and, of course, a piping hot glass of Adani Chai. ☕️

But honestly? The best part was sitting down and having quiet, uninterrupted adult conversation for the first time in two months. 😂

Parents, tell me I’m not the only one who considers the first day back to school a little celebration! 👀👇

Save this for your next Yemeni breakfast date and tag the parent who needs this after school drop-off!

Apparently, intelligence has a magnetic pull… but only for some people 😂🧲

I had to recreate this viral hair-pin trend, and honestly, I was way too confident about it. 😂

The pin actually stuck to my forehead, so obviously I had one explanation ready:
“People get attracted to my intelligence.” 😌😂

Then came miyaan’s turn…

And the pin dropped.
FIRST. GO. 😭😂

So according to my highly scientific research, the intelligence level in this house is officially questionable. 🤣

Sometimes you don’t need a perfect reel—just a silly idea, a little competition and a husband who is willing to prove your point for you. 😂

Tag your partner and find out who has the stronger magnetic intelligence. 👀

Regular mutton curry ko thoda break do… this mutton stew hits different!

Mutton + onions in almost the same quantity… and somehow this stew still disappears faster than it cooks. 😂🥘

If you’ve ever avoided mutton stew thinking it needs too much time or too many complicated steps, this one is for you.

The recipe itself is super easy. The only real test of patience? Slicing and slowly cooking those onions. 🧅😂

And please don’t skip the last step — freshly roasted coriander seeds + whole peppercorns, coarsely crushed and added right at the end. That little finishing touch makes the gravy smell SO good and gives it a fresh, earthy flavour.

Serve this with naan, roti, paratha or rice. ❤️

Save this for your next mutton craving — and send it to someone who deserves the job of slicing 4 onions. 😂

Meet Akuri — the Parsi version of scrambled eggs: soft, creamy, buttery and packed with spring onions, chillies, ginger, coriander and a little spice.

And here’s the part most people get wrong 👇
Bhurji is usually cooked until firm and can turn chewy. Akuri is deliberately kept soft, smooth and creamy.

The real trick? Don’t rush the eggs. Cook them gently over low heat, stirring and lifting them as they set. Take them off the heat while they’re still creamy — they’ll continue cooking from the residual heat.

Perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast with pav, paratha or toast. 😍

Would you try Parsi Akuri for your next breakfast, or are you staying loyal to bhurji? 😂
