Idk about you but I LOVE CHIC THINGS 🤍

Comment DECOR if you’re planning a room this year, tell me which one. I read every message and I’ll point you in the right direction whether or not we end up working together.

The rooms that stop you scrolling almost never do it with expensive art. They do it with correctly sized art.

It’s the most common thing I get called in to fix, and it’s almost never that the piece was wrong. It was the wrong size, or it was hung six inches too high.

Five rules I don’t break:

1. Two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. Never wider.

2. Hang it 8–10 inches above the back of the sofa. Not at ceiling height.

3. Centre of the piece at 57 inches from the floor. That’s gallery standard.

The frame picks up a metal that’s already in the room. It doesn’t introduce a new one.
If you’re buying it because it matches your cushions, put it back.

Now go measure the art above your sofa. Tell me the number and I’ll tell you if it’s wrong.

1. Bullnose edge countertops
2. Builder-grade chrome hardware
3. Recessed lights every 4 feet
4. Faux wood beams
5. Backsplash that stops at the cabinets
6. A rug two sizes too small
7. White vessel sinks
8. Greige on every wall
9. Curtains hung at the window frame
10. Glossy laminate “hardwood”
11. Matching furniture sets
12. Under-cabinet rope lighting
13. The Amazon arched mirror
14. Heavy-movement granite
15. Ceiling fan in the living room
16. Faux plants
17. Bronze and chrome in the same room
18. 3-inch baseboards
19. Accent wall in one colour
20. ⌐ ...

Nothing says money like a room that doesn’t try to prove it. Quiet luxury isn’t a trend, it’s restraint.

Texture over color, no visible tech, one piece that means something instead of five that don’t.

Comment “QUIET” and I’ll send you the breakdown.

Two things every client tells me before we work together: their home doesn’t feel like them anymore, and the idea of fixing it feels bigger than it should.

Comment “DECOR” and let’s talk about what’s actually off in your space. Which side of the split are you on right now?

That gap, between wanting change and being afraid to start, is where most people get stuck for years.

Here’s the part nobody tells you: decorated and designed are not the same thing. One looks nice for a season. The other looks right for a decade.

Every ‘why does this room feel off’ has an answer, and it’s almost never the piece you think it is.

Comment WOOD and I’ll send it to you.

It’s usually the wood, picked without a plan, forced together after the furniture was already bought. That single decision is the difference between a room that feels pulled together and one that quietly never sits right, no matter how much you spend fixing it.

There’s a process to this. Designers use it on every project, and it has nothing to do with taste.

What’s sitting in your home right now that you still can’t explain?

Comment WOOD and I’ll send you the link.

The Wood Tone Rulebook is the exact process I use on client projects: find the undertone, choose your dominant tone, cap it at three, and bridge whatever’s left. Plus the renovation order of operations and a wood species cheat sheet for your next furniture trip.

If you’ve ever brought something home and thought “why does this look wrong here”, this is why, and this fixes it.

What’s the wood tone situation in your home right now, one tone, or six?

Five things that read chic to me every single time, not trends, just the details that quietly separate a designed room from a decorated one.

Comment “DECOR” and let’s talk about bringing some of this into your space. ✨
