Rich, deep shades of autumn. Working with my abstracts, with more focus on movement and colors and less on detailed shapes. Feels organic and quite free to paint, and fitting for the inbetween-flowers-and-falling-leaves period 🍃

Blackberries makes good book stacks, for sure. Another bookmark in softer tones, this time without frame but still sparkling details because, well, obviously amazing. 😍

Harvest season continues in our garden! Blackberries are abundant and several times a week we head out to pick. It's a constant burgundy-violet shifting to black inbetween the vines of leaves, and its a lovely color scheme.

Personalised baby name art. Namntavla, nursery art. I don't know really the best name for these precious artpieces I get to do, but I do know I love making them. Sometimes for a Christnening, or a birthday. For newborns or older kiddos.

Either way, it's something a little magical about incorporating little details and personal wishes in my art, with a single person in mind. And what do you know - sometimes this art studio sends two artworks! 🤭 one by me, one by my little girl. Because she decided this boy actually could not make due with simply one teddy bear and she made an additional painting to go with the original.

Freshly re-read in my mind, I made my imaginary Elfhame palette 🫶 mossy greens, earthy browns, slightly sparkling blush rose. This is the color scheme I see it all play out in, deep seas and icy courts be damned, because it will always be forest roots to me.

I also named them because that's half the fun!

Faerie wine - deep, olive green
Gooseberry jam - pistachio green
Blusher mushroom - transparent rose with glitter
Ragwort steed - bone white
Jude, Jude, Jude - rich, dark chocolate
Acorn cake - deep caramel

Now it's only left for me to figure out how to paint my book edges, and perhaps re-bild in these colors? So many hobbies, so little time. 🫣

Will probably never pass up on a chance to paint stacks of books 😍 this goes straight into my Folk of the air books, second read. Imagine what horrible, wicked and wonderful stories that would be found in those tomes.

I think this is my all-time favorite color palette, greens and browns, rose gold and glittering details.

For the shimmering effects I used paints from the Happy Hour Shimmer palette from Colors by ViTa - goregous, thick colors with metallic shine and all handmade 💚

What I mean when I say I require the ittiest, bittiest tiny little brush. Or pen.
Because sometimes one needs to make itty, bitty tiny little details.

I have been so spoiled lately, with not one but two amazing collabs. One with granulating, earthy colors and one with sparkling shimmer. And when I sat there doodling ideas for them both I thought to myself - what an absolute gorgeous combination!

These cherry blossoms are made on extra thick, textured paper where the water and pigment can ghost over the surface in a lovely blush. The walnut grains comes through, and the granulation is.. yum.
The shimmering paint is the final touch layer, delicate little petals and details in pink and silver.

Paints used are from the Six Senses palette by Art to Basic. Handmade eco-friendly watercolors and more and the Happy Hour Shimmers by Colors by ViTa 😍
All handmade, lovingly, in Denmark and Sweden.
And also available on each of their shops!

And would you look at that - I made a full artwork in only pink. Dont think that has ever happended before. 🤭
