These little sticky notes from Toranekobonbon turn everyday reminders into cats and dogs stretching, sitting and lounging across your desk, notebook or screen.

Almost the entire back is adhesive, so the whole animal stays neatly in place instead of lifting at the edges. There’s still space to add a name, reminder or little message of your own.

Each pad has 50 sheets, with several poses to choose from.

D-BROS 2027 is on its way.

D-BROS has been part of ZAKKAsine since we opened in 2017, and I’m very happy to have their 2027 calendars coming to the shop.
This year we’ve chosen three wall calendars, together with the long-running Creator’s Diary. They should be with us in about a week.
In the meantime, I’ve written a little Journal about D-BROS and why, as a graphic designer turned shop owner, their work has always interested me. :)

We all know there’s something satisfying about opening a delivery box. Hako takes that little happiness and shrinks it down into miniature “orders” - cat toys, dog treats, bakery goods, supermarket finds and more.

Hako means “box” in Japanese, and each one arrives like a tiny parcel of stickers. Open the box and you’ll find around 40 different holographic stickers, complete with miniature bubble wrap and even a tiny invoice.

I’ve been looking for a glass teapot like this for quite some time.

I wanted something made in Japan, simple enough to sit naturally in a Scandinavian home, but also practical for the way we live now. Something you can use every day and simply put in the dishwasher afterwards.

This one from Common by Saikai ticks all those boxes for me.

Designed by Yota Kakuda, its clean, rounded shape is very much at home with the rest of the Common collection. The large, deep strainer is another reason I chose it, there is plenty of room inside for the tea leaves to open up and move freely while brewing.

Made in Japan from heat-resistant HARIO glass, it’s the kind of teapot I had been hoping to find: considered in its design, but genuinely easy to live with.

Maneki-neko usually have a place of their own — by the entrance, in a shop, or somewhere at home.

I like the idea of this miniature version because you can take a little good fortune with you.

Made from porcelain and hand-painted in Seto, there are two to choose from: the right paw traditionally invites wealth and good fortune, while the left welcomes people and customers.

Hang one from your keys or bag and keep it close wherever you go.

A very heavy Hello Kitty sitting quietly on the shelf？
And that might be all she ever needs to do.

Yet behind the weight is a piece of cast iron craft by Ikenaga Tekko, rooted in a traditional Japanese kitchen practice of adding iron when boiling water or cooking black soybeans to enrich their color.

You might never use her that way, but there’s a charm in knowing the purpose behind her creation.

I’ve always liked how straightforward Tsubame notebooks are. Good paper, simple covers, and very little that needs explaining.
This time we brought in a few different formats — from the familiar notebook shape to the square 16 × 16 cm version, which I particularly like.
Same Tsubame paper, just different proportions to choose from depending on how you like to use a page.

Chabako were originally made in Shizuoka to protect tea during storage and transport. Cedar on the outside, metal-lined inside, built to keep moisture and light away from the leaves.

Tea packaging eventually changed, and the original job of the Chabako almost disappeared with it. But the box was simply too useful to disappear.

In Japan, they found a second life storing rice, clothes, textiles, cameras and things people wanted to keep dry and protected. The same qualities that once protected tea turned out to work rather well for everyday life too.

Ours are still made in Shizuoka, where very few traditional Chabako makers remain.
