French Art Deco hand carved table lamp in walnut updated with new electrics and conical lampshade in h**p. C.1925.

Portrait of a woman, oil painting signed and dated 1913. Re-framed in black wood with silver detail. Painted at the precise moment the French academic tradition stood in sharp dialogue with the Parisian avant-garde.

Ralf Lindberg for Gärsnäs, Set of Six Tati Chairs, 1988. The form is confident and well-resolved with strong lines without sacrificing comfort.

The Skyscraper vase with perforated metal and insert in glass, produced by Bieffeplast as a reissue of one of Josef Hoffmann’s most iconic early designs from 1905.

Italian Rationalist dressing table with a lovely walnut burl veneer and chrome-plated tubular steel with a glass top, made in Italy in the 1930s. Pristine condition.

The showroom is quiet between collections, so I’ll share some favourite moments from the past year. This shot features a striking English portrait from c.1880 by W.A. Brakespeare. What beautiful things to exist in the world. A belt cast by Calder, made for Aino Aalto in 1940, her name engraved into the brass and brooch’s gifted to Aino’s and Aalto’s. Incredible pieces of history.
