Collapsible weld form tool works great. I tried with a solid core first but it sometimes got so stuck when the weld shrunk it had to be destroyed to be removed. This way I can knock out the core of the mold and remove the pie pieces individually.

The pellet tank from end of last year fully assembled by end user. Pretty darn close to theoretical model.

The nozzles for the vacuum (right in picture) and pellets suction hose (left in picture) are magnetically coupled to the tank so that they're easily removed.

In the bottom of the tank you can see the adapter for the pellet screw, which is infinitely adjustable around its vertical axis for easier installation.

A new rocket stove in the works...

Improvements over the Rocketote:

🔥 Chimney and fuel chute are welded tube designs. This means much easier and faster assembly and also better burn area geometry. Smaller probability of choking the fire with too much fuel.

🔥 No small parts to assemble, it can be assembled even with the thickest winter gloves.

🔥 Incorporated carrying feature in the design. No need for a separate bag or box to carry it in - just put all the pieces into the chimney and use one of the skies as a handle (or put the ski into the chimney as well and carry in back pack for ex.).

🔥 Grill grate (165x165mm) included. Perfect for hot dogs or hamburgers etc. If you want to boil some coffee afterwards you can lift off the grates and you have a flat surface for a big pot.

This version will also be made from stainless steel and weigh 4 kgs. I'm not sure about the name of it yet. If you have an idea maybe leave a comment?

Cutting some rocket stove prototypes.

Sketching on an idea for a swing crane to load/unload plates from the plasma cutter. The diagonal leg is foldable so it gets out of the way when its not in use. It should be capable of lifting 1 ton in its outer most position (2,4 m from pivot point).

Im thinking about adding a rope pulley to the lifting carriage so its easier to control it when the lifting beam deflects under load. Otherwise I run the risk of it running down the slope by itself, which could get sketchy.

Im not entirely sure either about the leveling solution for the foldable leg. It needs adjustability, but maybe better load spreading as to not crumble the concrete floor. Maybe a plate welded to the bolts with a rubber sole could work.

The whole thing weighs about 300 kg so it wont be easy to weld and install. I may need more bolted connections to break it up in smaller pieces. The pillar alone weighs about 190 kg.
