The Tones art rug collection is a series of hand-tufted rugs suitable for both wall mounting and floor use. The pieces in the collection explore the interplay between color and material and can be paired with matching wall paint from our palettes. The rugs are handcrafted from honest materials that have undergone rigorous quality control. Only sustainable raw materials—such as fine wool, coarse viscose derived from certified eucalyptus, and 100% recycled Econyl—are used in their production. The rugs are handmade to order.

We are delighted to contribute with our fossil free paint to the project “Consumption patterns during transformation in Varvstaden” by and

The project investigates how we can think critically about how we use materials from a broader societal perspective, and how places and buildings can be transformed, using circular and regenerative methods – that is, how we can both reuse and improve the environment.

The staff building in Varvstaden in Malmö has been the base of the study, and the building has been seen as its own ecosystem where materials and waste are part of a closed loop. The investigation has focused on three things: aesthetics during the change, value creation through reuse and what new functions the building can have in the future.

Prototypes and business models that challenge traditional building processes have been developed during the work. The goal has been to inspire a circular building process and create a building that is both functional and can express a new view on both aesthetics and material use.
