http://www.diva-portal.org/smash/record.jsf?pid=diva2:2052066 My thesis “The Visitors…” in a frame of performance history and art traditions, is now published on DiVa(Digital Science Archive). My first meeting with “The Visitors” and Ragnar Kjartanssons art work was at 2024, wish blow me away. Somehow I felt that the artwork reminded me of other exhibitions I had experienced, in a good sense. So this experience made me to reserch how artworks are intertextual inspired by previous art works in the history. The short conclusion is that The Visitors takes is place in the contemporary history of performance art by consciously or unconsciously quoting the language of performance art intertextually. If you are interested of the reading download the thesis on the link ahead. And thank you Hannes at Konstbiblioteket at for helping me finding exhibition books. My field of research is the performative reading of exhibition books. And now I’m working on a new thesis and the materiality is based on exhibition catalogues from 1923 and the press respond from the exhibitions. The material is from the National Museums archive in Stockholm. Thank you professor Malin Hedlin Hayden for directing me in this work!
