IN MY TOTE/ Josephine Blix 🍑
Coucou - Ça va? This is what our co-founder JOSEPHINE BLIX ϟ ツ is overpacking her tote with while strolling through the historical village of Fayence, heading to the lake, or taking a trip to the Mediterranean coast.
1. Since I’m obsessed with our terracotta/vanilla gingham pattern, I’ll bring my Bertel tote to the early morning marché, filling it with peaches. I love to wrap them in (and serve them on) a matching tea towel. On my way back, I’ll pick up a net of vongole mussels to wrap the towel around instead.
2. I’m not great with the heat, so an Evian facial mist (or any spray bottle) is a crucial part of my survival kit.
3. I love reading newspapers and magazines from the country I’m in. It makes me feel less like a tourist and more… chic? M magazine by Le Monde is a favorite. For the kids? Always a box of coloring pens and sketchbooks to keep them entertained at the restaurant. It saves us from those lunchtime meltdowns every time.
4. Whether we’re heading to the lakes just outside our little town or driving to the Riviera, we always need a tablecloth to sit on and individual waffle beach towels to wrap around us. The trick to keep things nice really is not to sit and eat on your towels. How cute is lemon embroidery in this setting, by the way?
5. Finally, something to ground our energy and remind us to stay present: this card game from Byredo is made to capture moments and turn them into future memories. It actually works!
