No drilling by you. I've done that part already.

At my Build Your Own, the plates are drilled and waiting. You pick the one that speaks to you, or one for a friend, then mix and match until the stack feels right.
Take your time. Every set turns out one of a kind.

I'll bring these to Temasek Shophouse this Sat 10 Oct 🥹

The one that got chosen.
Now it’s time to drill. 😆

But the first attempt just didn’t feel right.
I cannot explain why.
With a little adjustment, and we got there.

Sometimes, it takes a bit of tweaking before things feel right again. 🫶

Lets have a good start to the week!

Not all plates get released into the wild. 😆

This one is staying right where it is — safely in my cupboard. Sorry, this one is not for sale.

No drilling. No upcycling. Just me keeping one for myself. 🫶

Some plates are just too hard to let go. At least for now.

Sustainability looks different in every business.

We’re proud to be one of 20 businesses recognised in the Sustainability in Action Awards 2026.

This is Simply R&J very first award. 🫶

Across the winners, sustainability shows up in very different ways — from repurpose, repair, refill and resale to skills, craft and community.

For Simply R&J, it’s about giving old, familiar tableware another life, while keeping stories and memories alive along the way.

Over the coming weeks, Christmas Together 2026 will be sharing the people, choices and stories behind the work.

20 winners. 20 stories. This is Sustainability in Action.

Sustainability in Action is the thought platform behind Christmas Together 2026.

Save another date — Saturday 10 Oct, I'll be back at Temasek Shophouse.

This time it's all about the BYO station.
Come build your own tiered stand with me.

This market is brought to you by the good folks at Fullerton Fund Managemnet, Temasek Shophouse and City Sprouts — a farmers' market right in the heart of the city. Come support local farmers and small makers

Each market, I have to decide on a focus and what items to bring. Other than a few classic staples, I try to bring different pieces out each time. If you're coming and looking for something specific, do DM me.

Can't make it to either pop-up in October? Upthrift, Queensway is always there. Just message me first, hours shift around a bit.

See you at Kapo Factory, Temasek Shophouse, or Queensway in the meantime. 💚

Some plates carry more than a pattern.

She thrifted these as a student in the Midwest, fifteen years ago. Vintage souvenir plates likely made in the 1950s or 60s as decals were probably hand applied, sitting just slightly off-centre. She's moved around a lot since then. These are some of the only things she's kept from that chapter of her life.

Now they hold mooncakes and local favourites (rum balls!) at gatherings that have nothing to do with the Midwest.

Her words: "They will be a great conversation piece as I deploy them for tea and kueh parties!"

Thank you 🤠👢T for trusting me with your babies and letting me drill holes in them. 🫶

Got tableware sitting unused?
Send them my way and I'll give them a new life too.

Retro Kulture is coming to Kapo Factory on 4 October, and I'll be there!

I will be making new whimsical clocks & tiered stands. Will also be destashing my vintage tea sets, and maybe a few vintage bags and brooches too.

Come dressed in your best vintage fit — there's a Best Dressed award up for grabs Retro Kulture Passions Watch Exchange

It will be fun !!

Missed me at the last pop-up? Or can't wait till then? Find me at Upthrift, Queensway in the meantime. 🫶
