I don’t usually reflect—probably because I know I’m lazy—but when I do, it gives me a clearer sense of direction.
2025 has been both fun and challenging. From learning vocals to songwriting, there were many moments when I felt like 我越玩越大,而且越来越偏 😂. Some people say I’m just “playing seriously.” Maybe that’s true. But I do know that when I decided to focus on music instead of art, the enthusiasm was real. Still, I really miss art. That’s okay—I’ll continue to get hands-on with my creativity through art, and I’m already looking forward to my CNY creations.
2025 has also been an exciting year of meeting new people, which helped me understand myself better. Recently, I’ve begun to realise that Chinese might be better positioned as my core language—from someone casually assuming I’m a Chinese teacher, to actually being offered opportunities to teach Chinese. It feels like things are slowly aligning.
Many thanks to my vocal teacher, Koong ZH, who has indirectly helped me improve my Chinese. Without you, I guess the 动力 would never have been there.
Last but not least, to my lovely husband, who really 放手让我玩—thank you for your trust and support 💛
Hopefully, along the road in 2026, I’ll be able to complete a full song, participate in SG:SW, and also be more involved in community activities.
