A 3-room HDB that feels twice its size, all warm timber and soft light.

We wrapped this Bedok North home in oak veneer, curved arches and cove lighting that glows instead of glares. Every corner earns its keep: a slim entry console that doubles as display, a galley kitchen in fluted feature tile and warm oak cabinetry, and a bedroom built around an arched timber headboard with its own reading light and floating nightstand.

This home multitasks so you don't have to.

A loft bed frees the floor below for a proper study nook, while the staircase up to it doubles as concealed storage. Cabinetry runs floor to ceiling through the kitchen and both bedrooms, so nothing is left floating and nothing sits idle. Even the passage between rooms is put to work, with a lit display run instead of dead wall.

Some homes tell you what era they’re in. This one refuses to pick.

At this 2-bedroom unit on Sturdee Rd, Kerrisdale Condo, we let retro and modern argue it out in every room. Terracotta walls hold their own against sharp black fixtures. Forest green tile turns moody instead of murky. Brass catches the light like it’s from another decade, next to lines that feel unmistakably now.

Nothing here is trying to look old or new. It’s just trying to look right.
