They thought we were crazy.

What actually happened?
The space feels brighter, cleaner, and more premium than before.
The secret wasn’t the colour.

It was the lighting.
Hidden strip lights.
Glowing floating carpentry.

They said a dark kitchen would make the space feel smaller.

So we did the opposite. 🖤

Charcoal cabinetry.
Floor-to-ceiling.
Handleless.

Then we warmed it up with walnut finishes and hidden lighting that turns the counter gold after sunset.

And that glass folding door?

It hides the entire service yard.

Laundry.
Drying racks.
Storage.

Gone.

Just clean lines and a skyline view.

Now look again.

That “feature wall” is actually a hidden doorway.

No handle.
No frame.
No visible entrance.

Just a full-sized passage disguised inside a fluted wood feature wall.

Almost nobody notices it until we point it out... and then they can’t stop looking. 🤫

The funny part?

The marble wasn’t what changed the space.

It was the lighting.

Hidden LED lines behind timber panels.
A floating mirror glow.
Smoked glass wardrobes that make clutter disappear.

Most homes look “nice.”

This master bedroom had the ceiling height of a landed home…
but the storage space of an HDB bedroom 😩

The biggest issue?

Most of the room wasn’t actually usable.

The bay window took up valuable floor space.
The walls felt empty but cluttered at the same time.
And there was no proper place to work from home without squeezing in extra furniture.

So instead of making the room bigger—

we made the room smarter.

A custom floating timber feature now integrates:
— concealed cove lighting
— a king platform bed
— 4 hidden storage drawers

The original bay window was redesigned into a full-length storage bench with over 1,200L of concealed storage.

And in one unused corner, we built a dedicated workstation with softly lit display shelving to keep the space feeling warm, calm, and uncluttered.

The result feels less like a typical bedroom—

and more like a boutique hotel suite designed around daily living.

No walls hacked.
No extension works.
Just better spatial planning.
