A four-room resale, done for under $50,000.

The sofa is oversized and fully cat proof, built big enough for the whole family to fit on it together.

Their bed frame is low to the ground on purpose, no gap underneath for dust to collect, and it happens to match the house perfectly. Even the little details got thought through, like swapping a built in microwave for a hundred dollar one because it just wasn't going to get used.

They saw quotes from $30K all the way to $150K. This is what they walked away with instead.

Dark wood cabinetry runs through this whole resale, but the two toilets are the real signature. Charcoal stone in one, green tile in the other. Nobody had to compromise on a single look.

The living room is built around a family sized cream sofa, dog toys included. Warm wood carries through the kitchen and bedrooms, until the reading corner breaks the palette on purpose with two red chairs and good light.

One home, a few very different moods.

Before this home, the couple sat through almost 12 different IDs and contractors.

Portfolios that looked great on paper, but nothing that actually clicked. Then they met our designer, and the decision got easy fast.

They have two cats, so every corner of this home had to stay open enough to feel spacious, but safe enough for two pets to actually live in. Practically everything here is cat proofed.

Renovations rarely go without a hitch. Ours didn't either. But working through it together is what made the difference.

The brief was a $45,000 resale flat, and a request to hack down three bedroom walls to make the living hall bigger.

Before saying yes, our designer asked one question first. If a child comes along one day, will this room still work as a bedroom, or does it become part of the living hall for good. The homeowners were clear. Living hall, no second thoughts.

The previous owner had left a false ceiling behind. Instead of hacking it out, we modified the L-box and relocated the lighting, which saved a real chunk of the budget without anyone noticing the difference.

We run our own carpentry factory, so every measurement on this home, down to the island length and the kitchen depth, was built to spec by us. One point of contact, start to finish.

Red tiles in the kitchen, picked out by the couple themselves, carried through to the island seating. Deep blue tiles in the bathroom with a cloud shaped mirror. Dark wood joinery running through the whole home.

The record player and the figurine shelf finally have a proper spot instead of sitting in boxes.

Every room here says something different about who lives in it.

They came to us with a Pinterest board full of saved inspiration, and we built the 3D render straight from it.

The living room felt smaller than they expected after key collection, so we hacked part of the wall and added a glass panel instead. One of them hand drew a nook idea for the feature wall, we cut it out exactly as drawn. Shaker doors and red tiles in the kitchen, all picked by them.

Most of the furniture is from Taobao, so we worked around the delivery delays and installed everything together once it all came in.

Their favourite corner is the bean bag by the living room. That's where the long days end.

This 4-room BTO in Tampines started with a folder of kitchen-cabinet photos a young couple brought to their very first meeting.

We built the first render around exactly that, and it went through with almost no changes.

Cream walls, warm wood, soft pastel throughout. A master bedroom platform we custom built to match the headboard they'd already bought.

$40,000, one clear brief, and a home that turned out close to exactly what they pictured.
