Grow THICCLY Always!

Here's our Philodendron White Princess. It suffered a lot during the propagation phase in this hot climate, but once it rooted, it really took off on the THICCLY GrowLid self watering pot.

The leaves are significantly larger and the internodes shorten beautifully. Now we're just waiting for it to reach the next pole and we'll have a statement plant.

P.S. the algae bloom is really only a problem outdoors. Indoor GrowLids don't get nearly as much algae. A little anti-algae from your aquarium supplies goes a long way. Or, use the Royal Blue version with an opaque pot.

Check out our latest product the THICCLY GrowCloud at www.thiccly.com. It takes the GrowPole system to the next level. No more messing with sphagnum moss.

GrowLids work with the Gradvis line of pots from IKEA. When we saw the amber glass version, we knew we had to make one. Comment GrowLid for more information

People in the industry know that we have been working on a GrowLid for Alocasias for some time. Available in stores to grow your Alocasias THICCLY from your nearest IKEA at the planter's section.

That's a beautiful Frydek growing in the GrowLid. Anyone's tried growing one know they can be picky. We're surprised it was doing so well in the GrowLid system too! It was just a corn 2 months ago

GrowCloud is our latest substrate designed to solve the problems with sphagnum moss. It absorbs water fast, never turns hydrophobic, does not compact and will not tangle roots. Comment GrowCloud for more!

I'm terrible at keeping plants, so I keep designing products to make plant care easier.

We've been working on the GrowCloud concept for years now. Long time followers know we recommend using coco coir for GrowPoles, but they don't work well in dry climates. They dry too fast.

We don't like moss because it stays too wet when it is wet - it's heavy, toppling the pole; It collapses on itself , creating anaerobic conditions causing rot; when it is dry it really doesn't like to rewet itself, which means you flood your pot just to get it wet; when you propagate the plants, moss sticks everywhere, breaking roots. Getting it ready is a mess, you get crunchy moss that flies everywhere and sticks to everything when it gets wet, which then has to be plopped unceremoniously into the poles.

The GrowCloud solves all of those issues. It absorbs enough water and retains it for a long time, so it doesn't get heavy enough to topple the poles; stay wet enough for the roots to grow; is pourable so you don't have to plop it wet. Best of all it never repels water so a normal amount of water flowing through it gets it perfectly wet.

Comment GrowCloud and why you want our advanced aroid substrate. If we get 50 likes on this post, we will run a giveaway of the GrowCloud next week.

So be sure to follow us if you don't want to miss out on our giveaway!

GrowLid to find out more #

We've been working hard to create more tutorial videos so you can get the best out of your THICCLY products.

GrowLid is our latest innovation that makes carefree growth possible. It's the world's first hydroponics solution for moss poles.

Just set it up and get great growth, watering only when the water level is low, usually once a month or every 2 weeks if your plant becomes huge and super vigorous. It comes with transparent starter pots that helps you monitor root development. It is compatible with a range of IKEA pots to fit your decor.

I caught a flu after the Bangkok BOOM plant show. Here's how I deflasked the TC plants after leaving them in their bags for a week.

Tissue culture got a lot of bad rep when it first came out. Problem is most people aren't aware of how to take care of them, plopping them straight into substrate and expecting them to thrive.

Eventually the labs gave out instructions that include commercial chemicals aimed for commercial production processes, that are toxic and smells really bad.

After speaking with several TC plants sellers, apparently iodine which you can get in drugstores for wound care, is sufficient to santise the plants and give them the best start.

Remember - tissue culture is only cheaper if your plant survives.

They also start our really small so, try out our GrowLid hydroponics to kickstart their growth.

For consistent good growth, choose THICCLY GrowLid Hydroponics system

THICCLY GrowLid featuring Philodendron Pink Princess Galaxy.

This PPP was grown as part of our product development tests on thr THICCLY GrowLid. It had a full length sponge which got a lot of algae growth. This is a big reason we no longer offer 2 sponges. The 1 short sponge does the job without getting nearly as much algae.

The GrowLid is a hydroponic system for the GrowPole. Making it the first hydroponic moss pole in the world.

Forget overwatering or underwatering. GrowLid lets you keep stable growth parameters by just topping it up when the water level is low-approximately once a month. This maximises plant growth and prevents irreversible leaf damage from fluctuating conditions. Check root health and treat any root rot easily - just lift the lid.

Start growing beautiful specimens instead of endless plant chores
