Chef Louisa Lim’s desserts are made to be enjoyed with the eyes first, the design of loulouca.co is shaped around that exact moment of anticipation.
The experience begins in a compact gallery, with the Atelier’s creations arranged on a sculptural island next to a coffee counter. Oak, natural stone and hand finished surfaces form a warm, understated backdrop that keeps the focus on the desserts.
Beyond a sliding partition, the dining room opens into a continuous banquette and plating counter. A small aperture maintains a glimpse between the two spaces, while the open kitchen brings Chef Louisa’s finishing process into view. At the other end, a second counter hosts DJ Candiceb on selected evenings, shifting the room’s pace after dark.
Curve and linear recur in the custom handles, joinery and architectural forms, taking subtle cues from the brand’s bird emblem. Together, they connect the spaces through a single visual thread.
The interior reflects Chef Louisa’s artful, balanced and intentional practice, shaped through her training at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and time in Japan. The result is a space that feels refined but informal, demure yet quietly confident.
