A coastal estate imagined as a sequence of atmospheres.

Each space unfolds differently,
yet remains connected through light, materials and landscape.

The Pool House is one of these moments.
Open, quiet, and deeply rooted in its surroundings.

A way of designing that focuses on feeling rather than form.

What continues to fascinate me in Bali
is the way nature is never treated as a backdrop.

Architecture slowly disappears into vegetation.
Paths follow the terrain.
Light filters through layers of leaves, humidity and silence.

Nothing feels completely controlled.
And perhaps this is precisely what creates the beauty of these places.

In many parts of Asia, luxury is not expressed through excess,
but through the feeling of living gently within nature.

A slower rhythm.
A softer relationship between people, landscape and daily life.

This is also what continues to inspire the vision behind MAISON XLS.

Before they belong to a place,
trees are observed.

Selected in their natural state,
for their structure, their balance, their potential.

Then begins a slower process.

Pruned.
Prepared.
Transplanted.

Months of adaptation,
to anticipate a new condition.

Between land and sea,
where wind, salt and light redefine their form.

What appears natural
is, in reality, carefully guided.

Back in Japan, along the quiet coastline of Hayama.

What stayed with me was not only the precision of the craftsmanship or the perfect composition of the spaces,
but the way the sea seemed to soften everything.

The colours felt muted by the ocean air.
Terracotta, deep greens, smoked wood and glazed surfaces all became quieter under this coastal light.

A contemporary interpretation of Japanese hospitality where materiality feels gently faded by the presence of the sea.

The pool extends beyond its edges.
It becomes part of the landscape,
a continuous dialogue between water, light and nature.

Shadows move.
Reflections evolve.
The atmosphere changes with the hour.

Here, nothing is fixed.
Everything flows gently,
inviting a slower way of inhabiting the space

Some places are not shaped only by architecture,
but by the energy, gestures and intentions left within them.

At MAISON XLS, we believe landscapes remember.
They absorb silence, care, patience and the quiet dialogue between humans and nature.

Every stone placed with attention,
every tree protected before being moved,
every material selected with respect,
becomes part of a deeper story rooted in the land itself.

"This soil remembers every kindness we press into it."

A quiet reminder that meaningful spaces are never created by force,
but through sensitivity, time and care.

Back in Japan during the cherry blossom season.
In cities like Tokyo or Kyoto, the blooming season already feels unreal.
The entire city slowly disappears beneath soft shades of white and pink, while a delicate fragrance of spring drifts through the streets.
But this time, I experienced the cherry blossoms in the Japanese countryside.
Far from the crowds, surrounded only by silence, trees and light, you slowly lose your sense of scale and time.
Everything becomes softer.
The air itself feels lighter, almost intoxicating.
You fully embrace the moment because you know it is ephemeral.
And somehow, that is exactly what makes it so beautiful.
In the end, the fleeting nature of these blossoms no longer matters.
They simply remind you to live fully in the present moment.

The model as a tool for clarity.
A phase where volumes are adjusted, where distances, heights and alignments are refined.
Between interior and exterior, the project begins to find its balance.
A quiet process,
guided by proportions and light.

This gesture from Ika, for the celebration of my birthday, truly touched me.
Of course for the attention itself, but even more for the delicacy with which she selected a place that deeply resonated with my current state of mind and this transition period I am going through.

This place is called KORO.
A space built around this intention:
β€œExperiential Journey Crafted with Purpose.”

Connected to the culinary school of Bali, the restaurant becomes a place of transmission, experience and learning, where cuisine, service and craftsmanship are shared across generations.

This moment was filled with great delicacy.
Through the assortment of flavors composed by Chef Victor.
Through the serenity of the place, its architecture, its light and the quiet precision of the service.

I was especially touched by this depth of spirit:
the transmission of gestures, taste and the care given to others.

Thank you Ika for this beautiful pause.
A precious moment while I continue walking toward new adventures across Asia.

Some pages are slowly turning,
while new ones are already beginning to be written.

BLEUTONE Γ— CFOC

A curated selection of furniture and objects designed to create a natural continuity between indoor and outdoor living.

Warm timber finishes, woven textures, mineral surfaces and soft neutral fabrics compose a quiet and timeless material palette.

Each piece has been selected not only for its balance of comfort, simplicity and tactile presence, but also for the human craftsmanship behind it.

Produced by artisans, shaped by hand and guided by material sensitivity, these objects preserve the beauty of imperfect textures and natural finishes.

A dialogue between contemporary living, natural materials and human savoir-faire.
