Contemporary Japandi Interior with Scandinavian Influences

For this project, we embraced a warm contemporary aesthetic inspired by Japandi principles, where clean architectural lines meet natural materials and timeless detailing. Rather than relying on bold statements, we focused on creating a home that feels calm, bright, and inviting from the moment you step through the entrance.

The journey begins with a thoughtfully designed foyer featuring patterned floor tiles, integrated bench seating, and concealed storage, setting a warm and welcoming first impression. Throughout the home, a harmonious palette of soft whites, warm oak tones, and subtle textures creates a sense of continuity while allowing natural light to define the spaces.

In the living area, custom-built cabinetry, a sculptural TV feature wall, and a cosy window seat come together to create a comfortable environment for both everyday living and family gatherings. Every curve, groove detail, and proportion has been carefully considered to achieve a balance of elegance and practicality.

The kitchen continues the same design language with specially selected sintered stone surfaces, warm timber finishes, and thoughtfully planned storage solutions. Every material was chosen not only for its visual appeal, but also for its durability and suitability for everyday use.

We believe timeless interiors are shaped by thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and materials that stand the test of time. This home reflects that philosophy—a calm, welcoming space designed to be lived in and enjoyed for many years to come.

Project: The Kentish Court | 3-Bedder Resale Condo

This home embraces a contemporary heritage aesthetic, where rich walnut tones, soft neutrals, and carefully curated details create a warm and timeless atmosphere.

The entrance makes a memorable first impression with its bold colour palette, classic cabinetry, and patterned flooring, evoking the charm of a boutique European apartment.

The kitchen draws inspiration from classic European cafés, where the checkerboard floor, warm timber tones, and framed glass door create a welcoming and timeless atmosphere. A dramatic stone backsplash serves as the visual centrepiece, introducing depth and character while beautifully complementing the rich walnut cabinetry and custom detailing.

The bedrooms provide a calm retreat through warm timber textures, natural light, and thoughtfully integrated storage, while the bathrooms feature bold tiles, elegant stone surfaces, and brass accents that recall the comfort and sophistication of a boutique hotel.

Designed with a focus on materiality and atmosphere rather than trends, the home feels personal, inviting, and effortlessly enduring.

Anhans wins the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 – an outstanding achievement in international design!

We are proud to announce that our project - 984B Buangkok Link has been awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2026. The iF DESIGN AWARD is recognized as one of the world's most renowned design honors. Run by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, the award has served as a global benchmark for outstanding design excellence and impact for over 70 years. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the iF Design jury for recognising our work and design intentions.

The sought-after design accolade was awarded to 984B Buangkok Link in the Interior Architecture discipline as part of iF DESIGN AWARD’s Residential Interiors category, recognizing its innovative design and outstanding design feature of the project.

Through careful material selection, balanced spatial flow, and attention to everyday usability, the project stood out among the high-caliber designs of competing entries to impress the international jury of 129 independent design experts.

This year’s iF DESIGN AWARD saw over 10,000 submissions from 68 countries. Winning signals Anhans Interior Design as an industry leader and 984B Buangkok Link among the most outstanding designs in its field – an impressive achievement that underlines the highly competitive nature and significance of winning this award.

A Harmonious Living Canvas 🌿
The heart of this home is built on a warm, tactile experience. We’ve wrapped the walls in rich wood paneling to create a rhythmic backdrop for carefully curated pieces—like the cognac leather sofa and the iconic Eames-style lounge chair.

To maintain a clean, architectural silhouette, we integrated a dark-stained bookshelf directly into the wall. This ensures a dedicated home for literature and art without compromising the room's sense of openness. It’s a masterclass in balancing storage with soul.

The Art of the Restorative Retreat
In this master suite, we utilized a floor-to-ceiling rhythmic wood headboard that doubles as hidden storage, allowing the room to remain effortlessly tidy. By integrating soft, recessed LED lighting and tactile stone-effect niches, we’ve created a space that feels grounded and serene the moment you walk in.

At Anhans, we specialize in creating purposeful, calm homes designed around how people truly live, rather than following fleeting trends.

Project: Sea Avenue Mansion
Theme: Contemporary Japandi

At the top of The Sea Avenue Mansion, this thoughtfully composed home reflects a quiet discipline - where proportion, material, and light come together with purpose.

A galley kitchen anchors the layout with dark walnut-toned cabinetry, its vertical grain and framed panels giving a refined, furniture-like quality. Fluted glass doors and warm linear lighting introduce rhythm and softness, while a sintered stone backsplash adds tactile contrast with its muted, stone-like finish. The narrow palette - warm wood, soft greige, and matte black - lends the space a timeless, understated elegance.

Throughout the home, architectural restraint meets lived-in texture: a textured paint feature wall with limewash effect forms a sculptural TV backdrop, seamlessly extending into a curved console. An existing whitewashed brick wall adds quiet contrast, while a concealed pocket-door bar keeps the dining area clean and functional. In the study, plank-style shelving floats on slender metal frames, while the master bedroom remains calm and composed in tone and form.

We are grateful that our 984B Buangkok Link project has been selected as a Finalist for the iF Design Award 2026. With over 10,000 submissions from 68 countries, this shortlisting places the project among the top residential interior works reviewed by an international jury.

We appreciate this recognition as it affirms our design approach; from planning and practicality to aesthetics and detailing; and reassures our clients that the quality of our work meets global professional standards through independent evaluation.
