This home began with a clear vision from the owner โ to create a space wrapped in cream tones, softness, and calm. From floors to walls, doors to cabinetry, every surface was thoughtfully curated to achieve a seamless, warm minimalist look.
To soften the homeโs interior, gentle curves and arches were introduced all throughout. In the dining area, a custom arched feature wall was added to resolve a structural wall and beam depression, creating a flush surface that emphasises the display feature. The curve becomes a quiet focal point, enhancing the space without overwhelming it.
Material choices were intentionally restrained to maintain visual calm. A cream vinyl overlay was sourced for the entire home to replace the original glossy tiles as advised by the owner, offering a softer visual, safer surface for their young child, and a more cohesive aesthetic.
Microcement-inspired laminates were selected for carpentry to avoid harsh colour breaks and lighting was carefully tested and adjusted to achieve a warm glow that enhances the curves and textures without overpowering the space.
This living space was shaped by subtle design decisions: calm, warmth, and quietly intentional.
