In case you were wondering how much food is in each packet, here are some photos of today's menu. Regular size portions that easily feed 3-4 people, minus the rice. I've been told I'm usually pretty generous with my portions.

Dear family and friends,
Thank you for everyone's concern. I am safe and currently road tripping at the very north of North Eastern Thailand, along the mekong river, border of Laos. I didn't feel any tremors; in fact I was stuffing my face with the best vietnamese food. Which made me feel very guilty about what's happening in BKK at the moment.
I thank Jesus for His protection over me placing me in the right and right time. I also just left Chiangmai yesterday morning and today it was hit badly. I will pray for my friends in Myanamr, BKK and CXN who were affected. Meanwhile, I will stay vigilant during my trip.
Pray for Myanmar and Thailand. Some of Burmese friends are still waiting to connect with their family.

Kanom Tom literally means Boiled Snack/dessert.
Term 1 is almost coming to an end & we have started learning to make desserts. Not exactly my favorite subject; but I shall embrace this learning journey.
Very similar to Peranakan Ondeh Ondeh, these boiled glutinous rice balls are filled with sweet coconut fillings. Think of it as ondeh ondeh & kueh tutu had babies, u get Kanom Tom.
1st time I have to grate my own coconut meat; we are very blessed in Sg, we can just buy ready grated coconut from the market. However, grating it yourself makes a difference to texture, flavor & aroma. It's too much work that people just take for granted.
