All I was told was that she loves peonies. They chose the Luxe version, which meant I had enough room to respond with: okay, but what if there were two kinds? 🤭

So in went two varieties of big ruffly peonies, soft peach cymbidiums, blushing anthuriums and all the little wandering stems I could reasonably get away with.

I hope she really does love peonies because I may have taken that part of the brief very seriously. 😂

Omakase: Fresh for R & E…
… where some flowers find their way back into a story. 🥹

I first flowered for this couple when they *officially* became them — and now, one year later, I get to create yet another Eden for their first anniversary, with their ROM and first home waiting in the next chapter.

I love when flowers become quiet little markers of how far someone has come. 🤍

Her favourite ranunculus weren’t quite in season, so ruffled garden spray roses stepped in as a little nod to them. But the butterfly ranunculus that appeared in their earlier bouquet found their way back once more, weaving a familiar thread through both arrangements. 🥺

Gorge. Gorge. Gorge. 🥹

Sentimental like that: phlox for harmony, clematis for growing towards their dreams together, and plenty of joyful colour for everything still to bloom. ☺️

One of my favourite things about creating for long-time Omakase clients is 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Their favourite flowers. The things they’ve loved before.
How adventurous they’ll let me be. It truly is so much fun when, slowly, each Eden becomes less about simply choosing the same flowers and more about wondering — 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?

This one started with a familiar brief: to keep surprising his love for her birthday. 🤍

Only this time, featuring just one of her two fav blooms: rose lilies in white.

Instead of arranging another vase of her favourites, I suggested we do something a little different this time. Inspired by our wedding-style floral hedge, I went “let’s really 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 her in an Eden of lilies”. 🤭

Reimagined as a birthday piece, we kept the non-negotiables: white + green, minimal and elegant.

A little quirky & quiet mixed in — berries, mini delphiniums, little moss like texture from the stems of green tricks and a little bendy crossed arcs of bear grass.

And to really highlight the beauty of the rose lilies, I popped in some Easter lilies with their simpler, single-petal elegance as contrast.

Something about hearing lilies in my mind = need to have lots of extending lines!!! 🥹

Tbh, I think this is what I’ve come to love most about Omakase — getting to journey through life’s milestones together with you Bloomies. :’)

When someone has trusted me with enough chapters of their story, I get to remember what came before and use it to dream up what they haven’t experienced yet. 🥹
So rewarding and so fun!

Flowers can still surprise you, even when they’re your favourites. 👀

It’s what I strive for with Omakase Edens because I mean… so many years into this floral world, and I STILL love my trips to the floral markets because wdym nature produced this amazing creation I’ve never seen before?? 😭 Always getting humbled.

I’m grateful I get to share this part of my life and work with you hehe. Also, some of you sharp-eyed Bloomies have found a little micro world within TBE I’ve been working on which I can’t wait to share the coming days!!

“Surprise me” clients are my favourite kind of creative chaos 🌸

Not because it’s easier.
Honestly? It’s usually the opposite 😂

But because the starting point is so much more meaningful.

The brief usually isn’t:
“just make something pretty.”

It’s more like:
“this feels like her.”
“she’d love weird little details.”
“she always notices unexpected things.” 🥹

And suddenly, we’re not starting with flower recipes.
We’re starting with personality!!

This Eden ended up including quirky alliums + tiny sweet-smelling blooms that‘s called xiang xiang guo… and somehow bouquet-sniffing became a full family activity 😂

Her little daughter (who was almost the same height as this Eden 🥹) was completely fascinated — and mum even joked she already recognises the everlasting home piece I’d made before this 😂 training starts young apparently.

That’s the kind of storytelling that fills my little creative soul & heart.

Not just arranging flowers, but noticing the odd little things that make someone feel unmistakably them.
If you’re the kind who gifts by feeling rather than formula, we’ll probably get along. 🤍

She told me two things: lilies, and sky blue.
And my mind immediately went to soft clouds, open skies, lightness. ☁️

But then I found myself wondering if it was something deeper than just the colour itself.

Maybe it’s the peaceful trance of watching clouds drift by.
The feeling of calm.
The softness.
The lightness.
The quiet reminder that even beautiful things are always shifting.

Like when you swear you just spotted a baby elephant in the clouds… and then p**f, it’s gone 😂🌬️🐘

Sometimes people think custom floral storytelling needs some grand story.
Truth is, sometimes it begins with something as simple as a favourite colour… and how it makes someone feel.🤍

That’s the part I love most — translating little pieces of people into something they can hold. ✨

The perfect description behind my favourite kind of Mother’s Day mood. 👀

There’s something about this season that always moves me:
the quiet remembering of mothers in all their forms.

The ones who finally have time for themselves.
The ones still in the thick of caring for everyone else.
The ones who love through food, worry, nagging, gifts, loud voices, and tiny acts nobody notices enough.

Couldn’t resist this warm light spilling into the studio the other day — flowers taking up space, colours catching the light softly,
like the hues of a warm sunset.

I’ve loved translating little stories about your mamas into blooms these past few weeks. And somehow every arrangement ends up carrying the same thing underneath it all:
love trying its best. 💓

Looking around the studio & grateful for all the little moments I get to be part of. Thank you for inviting us in to celebrate the bravest mama(s) in your life who’s the “heart of the family” — a line so many of you referred to her as & honestly? I felt that. 🥹

Imagining the warmth in your mama’s hearts as the early floral surprises went out today got me like 🥹🥹🥹.

We are officially full for the weekend and unable to squeeze anymore orders in. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your weekend, officially entering fresh flower mode & can’t wait for your Eden to arrive. 🤍✨

The studio has been brimming with love all week and honestly… half the time, still in disbelief that I get to translate these feelings into florals to celebrate her.
